Description

The AI for Healthcare Administration Professionals certificate equips healthcare administrators with the knowledge and practical frameworks needed to understand, evaluate, and apply artificial intelligence within complex healthcare organizations. Through two integrated, self‑paced microcourses, learners develop a foundational understanding of core and generative AI concepts, explore how AI systems are developed, trained, and deployed, and examine the ethical, legal, regulatory, and operational considerations essential to responsible adoption.

Learners then progress to applied use cases relevant to administrative and managerial roles, including AI‑enabled documentation and revenue cycle processes, decision support for operations and planning, data‑driven performance improvement, and organizational efficiency. Throughout the certificate, learners build strategies for informed decision‑making, risk management, and continuous learning in an evolving digital landscape. Graduates emerge confident, informed, and prepared to guide the ethical and effective use of AI in support of high‑quality care delivery, organizational performance, and sustainable health systems.

The course emphasizes how selecting and using AI tools effectively depends on context, purpose, and organizational constraints, while also addressing critical ethical, legal, privacy, and compliance considerations.
