Description

The AI for K–12 Education Professionals certificate provides teachers and instructional staff with a comprehensive foundation in artificial intelligence and its responsible use across today’s learning environments. Through two connected microcourses, participants first build essential understanding of core and generative AI concepts, including how models learn, how prompts shape outputs, and how to navigate ethical, legal, and equity-focused considerations in school settings.

Learners then apply these concepts to real-world educational practice—using AI to enhance lesson planning, differentiation, assessment, communication, documentation, and workflow efficiency while supporting student engagement and learning outcomes. Throughout the program, educators explore emerging innovations and develop strategies for continuous learning to stay current in an evolving digital landscape.
