​​Dr. Danawi is a seasoned public health professor, expert in clinical trial management, epidemiologist, author, and advocate dedicated to advancing diversity and inclusion in healthcare research, particularly within Middle Eastern, North African, and South Asian (MENASA) communities. With 27 years of experience in academia and clinical research, Dr. Danawi has established himself as a leader and innovator in bridging the gap between underserved communities and healthcare systems. Dr. Danawi's career includes extensive roles in public health education, epidemiology, clinical trial feasibility, and research startup management. He has been instrumental in developing and implementing strategic initiatives that address healthcare disparities and promote equity. Dr. Danawi serves as the president of the Arab board for Clinical Research and MENASA Group and oversees multiple initiatives such as MENASA Clinical Research Inclusion Summit, MENASA Magazine, MENASA Junior Clinical Research Academy, and MENASA Clinical Research Referral Club. The purpose of the initiatives is to educate, empower, and mobilize communities and healthcare professionals toward inclusive and culturally competent clinical research. An accomplished author, Dr. Danawi has contributed significantly to literature through books such as "Encyclopedia of 123 Meditational Grids," "Lost in Causation: A Critical Examination of Epidemiological Research," and "Diversity in Clinical Trials: Advancing Health Equity for Arabs and Arab Americans." His research and more than 200 publications highlight the intersection of healthcare, technology, innovation, and public health policy. Dr. Danawi also serves in leadership capacities with various organizations, including his role as treasurer for the National Arab American Medical Association – Houston Chapter and member at large with the American Lebanese Medical Association. His efforts extend to international collaborations, actively engaging in dialogue and partnerships aimed at improving healthcare access and equity globally.
