Course Description

Nursing informatics supports nursing practice in education, administration, research, patient safety, quality outcomes, core standards, and nurse-sensitive outcomes. In this course, students emphasize the meaningful use of information technology in the delivery of nursing services, including the collection, storage, retrieval, and communication of data; information system safeguards; ethical and legal issues; and information management to promote patient safety and quality of care.

Admission Requirements

Active RN license through start date
Unofficial transcript with an Associate Degree or Hospital Diploma in Nursing from institution with accreditation recognized by Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or US Dept of Education. Unofficial transcripts must include the name of the institution, student name, grades earned, credits earned, degree earned (if applicable), course names/numbers and dates of attendance
Cumulative GPA 2.0 or above
