The Certified in Public Health (CPH) credential plays a vital role in strengthening and advancing the public health workforce. More than 8,000 professionals now hold the CPH, and employers and educators increasingly recognize it as a marker of professional readiness and leadership. By validating mastery of the core domains of public health, the CPH provides an external standard of competence and accountability—ensuring that today’s workforce meets society’s growing expectations for quality, consistency, and effectiveness in public health practice.
