Description
A basic knowledge of how the human body is structured (anatomy) and how it functions (physiology) is critical for anyone working in a healthcare field. This course will walk you through the major systems of the human body, how they function, and how they interact.
In this course, you will complete a series of practical assessments that show you have gained the knowledge and skills required for this subject area and then submit your assessments for review by a university faculty member. Upon receiving a passing score you can receive academic credit for the 5-credit Walden course BIOL3020 Essentials of Human Anatomy & Physiology.
The credit you will earn from these courses will be counted as “transfer credit” from the School of Lifelong Learning and can be applied to Walden’s BS in Health Studies and other programs. Some institutions may accept this credit, others may not. Walden cannot guarantee the transferability of credit earned through its programs to other institutions. Residents of NY, RI, CT, ND and PR (Puerto Rico) are not eligible to apply for academic credit at Walden University or receive a transcript from Walden.
