Obesity and the management of obesity related issues are significant issues that impact individuals and communities. Providers are now prescribing obesity medications, with new choices becoming increasingly available. The need to understand obesity, obesity management and the complications related to obesity can impact patient outcomes. In this webinar, Dr. Jennifer Stone will describe best practices for prescribing obesity medications.

Dr. Jennifer Stone currently serves as Associate Dean I for the NP program and Academic Program Coordinator for the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) specialty track. Prior to this role, she served as the Practicum Coordinator for all specialty tracks in the APRN Program. Dr. Stone is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with over 17 years of experience in clinical practice and 13 years of experience teaching in Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) programs and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) programs at both online and brick and mortar universities. Dr. Stone's research interests focus on patient-centered care and improved outcome of chronic conditions. Dr. Stone has presented at numerous professional conferences and has been published in peer-reviewed journals.
