Description

Healthcare professionals who work with children need a sound understanding of the processes by which children develop. No matter what age groups you interact with, from newborns to older infants to toddlers, knowing more about children's growth and development helps ensure they have a good foundation for their childhood.

In this course, you will complete a series of practical assessments that show you have gained the knowledge and skills required for this subject area and then submit your assessments for review by a university faculty member. Upon passing the course, you can receive academic credit for the 5-credit Walden course EDUC1004 Child Development.

The credit you will earn from these courses will be counted as “transfer credit” from the School of Lifelong Learning and can be applied to Walden’s BS in Health Studies and other programs. Some institutions may accept this credit, others may not. Walden cannot guarantee the transferability of credit earned through its programs to other institutions. Residents of NY, RI, CT, and ND are not eligible to apply for academic credit at Walden University or receive a transcript from Walden.
