Course Description

This course builds upon prior knowledge and skills of collecting patient data related to the assessment of individuals and population health status. Through innovative experiences, students apply concepts of health and physical assessments for patients across the lifespan. Areas of focus include social determinants of health and health equity. Students develop an integrated person-centered approach to health, including physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritually sensitive care.

Admission Requirements

  • Active RN license through start date
  • Unofficial transcript with an Associate Degree or Hospital Diploma in Nursing from institution with accreditation recognized by Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or US Dept of Education. Unofficial transcripts must include the name of the institution, student name, grades earned, credits earned, degree earned (if applicable), course names/numbers and dates of attendance
  • Cumulative GPA 2.0 or above
