Description

Perhaps the most important professional skill is the ability to communicate effectively. Communication is a powerful force in our personal and professional lives, and effective communication can make an enormous difference in your success as a healthcare professional. This course focuses on the importance of interpersonal communication, how communication impacts personal and professional relationships, communication skills such as listening, speaking, and nonverbal communication, and self-awareness as part of the communication process.

In this course, you will complete a series of graded quizzes that show you have gained the knowledge and skills required for this subject area. Upon successful completion you can submit your Course Completion Certificate to receive credit for the 5-credit Walden course COMM1008 Interpersonal Communication for Personal and Professional Success.

The credit you will earn from these courses will be counted as “transfer credit” from the School of Lifelong Learning and can be applied to Walden’s BS in Health Studies and other programs. Some institutions may accept this credit, others may not. Walden cannot guarantee the transferability of credit earned through its programs to other institutions. Residents of NY, RI, CT, and ND are not eligible to apply for academic credit at Walden University or receive a transcript from Walden.
