You will explore the physiological, psychological, emotional, and socioenvironmental effects of these psychoactive substances.

What You Will Learn
In this micro-course, you will learn to:
- Identify the significant categories of addictive substances: depressants, stimulants, hallucinogens, cannabis, and outliers that fit into several groups.
- Evaluate the behavioral, physiological, psychological, emotional, and socioenvironmental effects of psychoactive substances on the individual.
- Describe the pharmacology of abused drugs and what changes in the brain during the addiction process.
