Description
How do we know how the things we know about human biology, growth, behavior, and social interaction? How can we tell if our recommendations for improving health are effective? The answer: research. Understanding how scientific research is done is key to making good decisions about healthcare practices and becoming a successful healthcare professional.
In this course, you will complete a series of practical assessments that show you have gained the knowledge and skills required for this subject area and then submit your assessments for review by a university faculty member. Upon receiving a passing score you can receive academic credit for the 5-credit Walden course HLTH4205 Introduction to Research Methods.
The credit you will earn from these courses will be counted as “transfer credit” from the School of Lifelong Learning and can be applied to Walden’s BS in Health Studies and other programs. Some institutions may accept this credit, others may not. Walden cannot guarantee the transferability of credit earned through its programs to other institutions. Residents of NY, RI, CT, and ND are not eligible to apply for academic credit at Walden University or receive a transcript from Walden.
