Dr. Dulko earned her Ph.D. in Cancer Nursing Research from the College of Nursing at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. She earned a post graduate certificate in Bioethics and Medical Humanities from New York University. She holds a Master of Science degree as a Women's Health- OB GYN Nurse Practitioner (NP) and a post master's certificate as an Adult Health NP from Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, New York.
Dr. Dulko has over 25 years of experience as an advanced practice nurse, hospital administrator, educator, and researcher. She holds national certification as both an Adult and Women's Health Nurse Practitioner.
As a clinician-scientist, Dr. Dulko has dedicated her career to cancer patients, women and families framed in the transitions they face from diagnosis, through treatment, survivorship and end of life. She has served as Associate Editor for the Clinical Journal of Oncology Nursing and is currently a reviewer for the journal. Her research work has focused on implementation science methodologies that foster evidence-based practice change in healthcare. Dr. Dulko has a number of publications and presentations that include strategies to implement evidence-based practice, healthcare provider burnout, gynecologic oncology, symptom management, cancer survivorship and application of technology in clinical research. Dr. Dulko's research interests include the role of nursing in symptom management in chronic conditions across the lifespan, implementation science to foster the translation of research evidence into practice, issues in women's health, ethics in healthcare and research, healthcare provider burnout, and application of technology in research in clinical trials, advanced practice nursing and learning management systems.
In addition to teaching, she is active in her community, is a current member of Sigma Theta Tau International and has served as Chair of the Leadership Succession Committee for the Phi Nu chapter.
