This micro-course will provide teacher candidates or current classroom teachers with teaching strategies and tactics to help the student with autism be successful in the general education classroom. It will introduce research-based teaching strategies to help students learn and to help obtain the expected behavior from students.

What You Will Learn

Upon successful completion of this micro-course, you will be able to:

  • Recognize general characteristics of students with autism.
  • Identify four to five instructional strategies to use in the general education classroom.
  • Identify two to three behavior strategies to use in the general education classroom.
