Speaker Bios

Kathleen Ebert, MS, BSN, RN-BC, NEA-BC

Kathleen Ebert is a Vice President of Nursing Excellence, Analytic Framework with HealthLinx. She has more than 24 years of professional nursing experience, including direct care, emergency/trauma care, inpatient acute care, education, professional development, patient experience, and director-level positions. Kathleen has served as a Nursing Manager, Clinical Educator, Manager of Nursing Practice, Research and Innovation, System Director of Customer Experience, and Magnet Program Director. She has provided oversight for Magnet® at two different organizations. She is board-certified in Professional Development and Advanced Nurse Executive through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Laurie Schulenberg, MPA/HCA, BSN, RN, NEA-BC

Laurie is the Senior Vice President of Nursing Excellence at Healthlinx. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master's in Public Administration and Healthcare Administration. Laurie is a nationally certified nurse executive and has served in a variety of leadership roles including: Vice President of Patient Care Services, Chief Nursing Officer, Director of Professional Excellence and Magnet Program Director. Laurie is best known for her extensive knowledge of nursing leadership, staff development, Magnet status, and shared decision-making. She served for two years as the HR nursing liaison at CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances in Tyler, TX, and gained an in-depth knowledge of HR practices and a reputation for creative recruitment and retention strategies
