This virtual event will provide valuable insights into the field of emergency department nursing. During the webinar, you’ll have the opportunity to gain an understanding of challenges faced by nurses in the emergency department, learn strategies to manage stress in the ED setting, and explore the many tools and resources available to you through the ENA and Walden.

Dr. Nancy Hadley is a doctoral-prepared, board-certified family nurse practitioner and emergency nurse practitioner. She received a bachelor’s and a master’s in nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio and a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of Alabama. Dr. Hadley has been a core faculty member in Walden’s MSN-FNP program since 2014 and has worked in emergency medicine for over 30 years. She has mentored NP students and doctoral students, as well as published on competency-based training for triage nursing.
Chris Dellinger is the 2024 president of the Emergency Nurses Association. Dellinger has spent three decades as an emergency nurse with experience in roles from the bedside to leadership. She is a strong advocate on issues of importance to emergency nurses, such as workplace violence and mental health, while also using her platform to encourage all ED nurses to “show up, step up, and shine.”
Monica Escalante-Kolbuk is a master’s-prepared, board-certified emergency nurse with almost 20 years of experience. She is the director of Novice Nurse Education programs at the Emergency Nurses Association where she oversees the Emergency Nurse Residency program and new nurse education.
Amy Toopes is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with extensive experience in emergency care, cardiology, and nursing education. She currently serves as a program development specialist for the Emergency Nurses Association, while also working as an emergency nurse in a critical care hospital in the Chicago metropolitan area.
Walden University College of Nursing is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development through the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. Provider Unit P0469.
While professional development activities offered by an American Nurses Credentialing Center Provider Unit typically satisfy the requirements of most states, Walden University recommends that participants ensure that the content offered meets their individual requirements.
