Description
In this micro-course, you will examine how to create a relationship with the client where the counselor can leverage their partnership to guide a client to recognize and resolve their ambivalence while remaining open to change. You will define what motivational interviewing is, explain its component parts, and demonstrate how it can be used to help clients struggling with substance use disorders (SUDs) and addiction behavior disorders (ABDs).
